Meet the Team
Peter
Has worked in all the top London Hotels including The Inn on the Park, Café Royal and the London Hilton as well as the Dorchester & many others. He has toured Scandinavia as far north as the Arctic Circle and he has also played in Sliema, Malta, in the Mediterranean.
"Dj'ing is an art, keeping track of the songs, remembering what went well in previous years and playing classic disco tracks. If you are paying for a disco then you want somebody; who knows: the music to play it in the right order when to speak follow the mood and give a performance."
Okay, that said how does it work? "A typical wedding has lots of people of different ages and tastes, I would scan the audience to see what ages were there, typically there will be children and older guests There may be a buffet during the evening and depending on the time it is served I would play background music from all years and genres before and during, not too loud so guests can converse and socialise. After the buffet there may be cake cutting ceremony at which point there will be a"Kodak" moment. then, unless there are speeches I will invite the bride and Groom to the dance floor for the first dance. Another "Kodak" moment. If the couple wish then I will encourage their parents to the floor. Then is the time for the disco, normally started with a few chart songs interspersed with some disco classics. This is often the time to play some "oldies". Often families with young children may leave after a couple of hours leaving a different audience and this is when I will begin playing modern dance tracks. Obviously the real knack is to judge the mood of the audience and play to them. When you see guests saying "Oh I love this song" then you know you have got it right."
Generally:
Our wardrobe will suit your event, the music will be chosen to suit you. We will encourage guests to enjoy themselves and make your day that little bit special by personalising the entertainment. If you book an entertainer you shouldn't need to do it yourself, that is after all what you are paying for. We don't mistake volume for talent.
If you only want the music, consider hiring one of our sound packages, then plug in your MP3 player.

On other nights you will have both Peter and Jackie on the mikes as we both share the evenings entertainment.
